Procurement Officer

About the role

Amaica The Restaurant Limited, a hospitality brand specialising in authentic African cultural dining, is looking for a full-time, on-site Procurement Officer in Nairobi. The post strengthens procurement and supply chain operations by ensuring cost-effective sourcing, efficient inventory replenishment, supplier accountability and strict adherence to procurement policies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies
• Negotiate supplier pricing, credit terms and contracts
• Monitor inventory PAR levels for timely, cost-efficient replenishment
• Maintain approved supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance
• Ensure compliance with budgets, internal controls and SOPs
• Analyse purchasing trends, price variances and cost optimisation opportunities
• Work with Finance, Stores, Kitchen and Operations to keep supplies flowing

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field
• Professional procurement qualification (CIPS/CPSP-K) is an added advantage
• At least 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in a multi-unit hospitality or F&B setting
• Demonstrated expertise in supplier negotiation, inventory management and cost control
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills, with high standards of integrity
