Procurement Officer – West Pokot Mine

About the role

The Procurement Officer will lead procurement activities at the West Pokot Mine site, ensuring timely delivery of materials, spares, consumables, fuel and services while maintaining strict compliance and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Own site sourcing decisions within delegated authority, manage competitive quotations and tenders.
• Oversee supplier performance, service contracts and critical supply planning with Maintenance and Stores.
• Supervise the Assistant Procurement Officer, reviewing transactions, negotiating and approving purchases.
• Review open purchase orders, supplier accounts and contracts within the first 30 days and clear backlogs.
• Establish framework agreements for high‑volume categories and build a vetted local supplier register.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2 years hands‑on procurement experience in a mining environment with ERP proficiency.
• Ability to work on‑site in a remote location and adhere to strict procurement controls.
