Product Designer - AI Avatar (One-Month Mission)

About the role

CompetitivIA is developing Isidore, an AI avatar for learning, executive communication and business decision support. It is looking for a Product Designer to understand the product, investigate user needs and turn complex AI capabilities into a clear, useful and visually coherent experience. This is an initial one-month mission with potential for a long-term collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with the CEO and the Tech & AI Director to define how people interact with Isidore before engineers implement it.
• Analyse user needs, expectations, motivations and barriers.
• Map user journeys, from campaign entry and onboarding through interaction with the AI to task completion.
• Design user flows, wireframes, interfaces and interactive prototypes.
• Define how Isidore asks questions, responds, gives feedback and guides the next action.
• Design for different ages, language levels, cultural backgrounds, professional roles, markets and levels of digital confidence.
• Cover voice and text interactions, waiting states, errors, interruptions and session recovery.
• Test prototypes with representative users and improve the design based on observed behaviour.
• Prepare specifications for frontend and backend engineers, including interface states, interaction rules and data requirements.

Required profile

• Combines product understanding, interaction design and strong visual judgment.
• Can explain and defend design choices with evidence and user needs, and revise them when testing shows a better approach.
• Works closely with engineers, understands technical constraints and can prioritise under pressure without losing attention to detail.
• Experience with AI products, conversational interfaces or voice experiences is particularly valuable.

Required skills

• Figma or an equivalent prototyping tool is essential.
• No-code tools are welcome when they help test ideas quickly.

Expected outcome after the first month: a prioritised user journey, a tested interactive prototype of a core Isidore experience, reusable interface components and an implementation-ready handover to engineering.
