Product Fellow – Loan Incentive Program

About the role

The Product Fellow works at the core of Aceli Africa’s incentive program, reviewing loan submissions from partner lenders and assessing eligibility for incentive payments. This hands‑on role offers early‑career professionals exposure to agricultural lending across East Africa and direct impact on financing underserved agri‑SMEs.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and approve loan submissions from lending partners, applying Aceli’s guidelines to recommend approvals or rejections.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback to lenders when additional information is required, ensuring efficient resolution of issues.
• Track trends in loan applications and share insights with senior team members to inform strategic improvements to the incentive program.
• Collaborate with internal teams and support special projects, acting as a resource for partners and contributing to Aceli’s broader goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of professional experience, with strong analytical attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage time effectively and review up to 10 loan files per day.
• Team‑oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate across functions.
• Interest or passion for the agricultural sector is a plus.
