Capacity Development Intern

About the role

The Capacity Development Intern will support the African Development Bank’s capacity development initiatives, gaining practical experience in a development finance environment. The role is designed for master’s students and offers exposure to project management, policy analysis and stakeholder engagement. Interns may work remotely or on‑site in Nairobi depending on unit needs.

Required profile

• Must be at least the age of majority in their country and not older than 30 years at the start of the internship.
• Currently enrolled in a recognised master’s degree programme (or within one year of graduation).
• National of an African Development Bank member country.
• Fluent in English or French.
• Proficient with the Bank’s standard software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access); SAP knowledge is desirable.
