Production Control Clerk / Service Writer

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Production Control Clerk / Service Writer to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves creating, updating, and maintaining custom reports and databases to monitor military and civilian equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Input, update, and export information in GCSS‑ARMY or other approved Logistics Information Systems.
• Perform accurate data entry and reporting of vehicles assigned to the program.
• Generate custom equipment‑tracking databases and spreadsheets.
• Provide logistical and administrative support to management.
• Create, update, and deliver reports to management.
• Support the Company Continuous Improvement Process and QA program.
• Maintain maintenance records in historical jackets and GCSS‑ARMY, including disposition, classification, controlled exchange, and cannibalization documentation.
• Mentor and assist with on‑the‑job training and cross‑training.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and PPE requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining at time of hiring.
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English for contract requirements and emergency procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to understand and use technical manuals.
• Experience with computer and office equipment.
• Experience in supply and maintenance interaction.
