Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will lead the wood manufacturing plant to deliver high‑quality products on time while driving efficiency and cost reduction. This senior‑level position reports to senior management and ensures that production processes meet client expectations and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines.
• Optimize utilization of raw materials, equipment, and labour while minimizing waste.
• Coordinate with procurement and supply‑chain teams to secure timely raw‑material supply.
• Monitor inventory levels and lead stock‑accuracy initiatives.
• Lead production supervisors and workshop staff, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the quality‑control and assurance committee to ensure product specifications are met.
• Conduct safety audits, root‑cause analyses and enforce safety regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 72 months (6 years) of experience as a Production Manager or in a similar manufacturing role, preferably in wood production.
• Proven ability to manage complex production schedules and resource allocation.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in performance evaluation and staff development.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of wood manufacturing processes, machinery operation, assembly, finishing and packaging.
• Proficiency in 5S, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies.
• Ability to develop and adjust detailed production schedules.
• Experience leading quality‑control initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Expertise in safety audits, safety regulations and root‑cause analysis.
