Production Supervisor

About the role

Sun King is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead the day‑to‑day operations of its electronics manufacturing floor in Nairobi. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient workflow, meeting production targets, and maintaining a safe, high‑quality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee scheduling, staffing, and workflow management on the production floor.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify improvement areas, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Materials Handling teams to secure raw materials and components.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Train, mentor, and develop production staff, conducting regular performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance to resolve technical issues and optimise processes.
• Drive Kaizen and continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Prepare regular reports on output, throughput, and efficiency.
• Support new product introductions and equipment optimisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience in the electronics industry, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven experience with CKD/SKD processes and production supervisory duties.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
• Excellent problem‑solving, root‑cause analysis, and continuous‑improvement mindset.
• Effective communication and ability to motivate teams in a fast‑paced environment.
• Familiarity with quality management systems, lean manufacturing, and safety regulations.
• Understanding of Kaizen, 6S, and production machinery assembly procedures.
