Production Supervisor – Manufacturing Operations

About the role

The Production Supervisor will lead manufacturing activities, ensuring that production schedules are met while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and cost efficiency. This full‑time position is based in the Westlands area of Nairobi, supporting operations in nearby Ruiru.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain production schedules for all orders, monitoring progress and addressing delays.
• Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to guarantee material availability.
• Allocate resources—including personnel, equipment, and materials—to meet production demands.
• Supervise production staff, enforcing safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Monitor output against specifications, work with quality assurance to manage rejects and corrective actions.
• Maintain production documentation such as work orders, inspection reports, and SOPs.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and propose process improvements.
• Control production costs and suggest cost‑saving measures.
• Liaise with maintenance, logistics, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum three years (36 months) of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to plan, schedule, and coordinate production activities.
