Professor – Circuit & Device

About the role

The Institute seeks a senior academic leader to teach, supervise and conduct cutting‑edge research in circuit and device engineering. The role involves designing curricula, leading research programmes and fostering industry collaborations, all based on‑site in Konza City.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead research partnerships and collaborations at national, regional and international levels.
• Develop and implement teaching programmes, design innovative course delivery, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Supervise student theses, dissertations, internships and mentor academic staff.
• Mobilise research funding, lead external bids and manage consultancy projects.
• Champion dissemination of research outputs and facilitate technology transfer and commercialization.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant discipline from an accredited university.
• Minimum five years teaching experience as an Associate Professor or nine years research experience.
• At least sixty scholarly publications, with forty in refereed journals.
• Supervision of ten doctoral and five master’s students to completion.
• Evidence of patents or commercialised innovations is an advantage.
