About the role
The International Trade Centre is seeking a Programme Officer to support its Division of Country Programmes – Office for Africa. Based in Nairobi, the role contributes to the design, implementation and monitoring of trade‑related programmes across East Africa and the African Continental Free Trade Area.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in strategic planning, programme development and evaluation, including research, analysis of socio‑economic trends and preparation of policy briefs.
- Coordinate the regional project portfolio, track compliance with logical frameworks, donor requirements and UNCT agreements, and flag risks to results delivery.
- Support resource mobilisation by identifying funding trends, drafting concept notes and donor proposals, and liaising with private‑sector partners.
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support for the Nairobi office, including administrative, procurement and financial processes, and assist with UN Country Team engagements.
