About the role
The position is an entry‑level, training grade for Programme Officers within the Office of the Deputy President. Officers may be deployed to either the Social Sector or the Public Service Sector, supporting government reforms and special initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Undertake research and data collection for resource mobilisation and social sector reforms.
- Prepare and use data collection tools to track institutionalisation of special government initiatives.
- Collect, collate and analyse data on public sector reforms and business process re‑engineering.
- Provide training and capacity‑building for ministries implementing reforms.
- Update and maintain the central database on public sector reforms and innovation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Planning, Project Management, Political Science, Public Administration, Law or a related field from a recognised Kenyan university.
- Entry‑level candidate with no specific experience required.
What we offer
- Salary range KES 48,010 – 63,910 per month (visible).
- House allowance (KSh 5,800 – 10,000), commuter allowance (KSh 4,000) and other civil service benefits.
- Permanent, pensionable position with medical cover and annual leave as per civil service rules.
