Project Accountant – Construction & Real Estate

About the role

The Project Accountant supports financial management of construction and real‑estate projects, working closely with project teams to record expenditures, monitor budgets, and report variances. This role ensures financial integrity and provides insights that help deliver projects on time and within cost.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with construction project teams to gather and verify financial data.
• Record all actual project costs accurately in the accounting system.
• Monitor project budgets, flag discrepancies, and report variances to management.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and forecasts for ongoing projects.
• Support project managers with budget tracking and financial insights.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and assist in audit preparation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or ACCA certification is a plus.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in real‑estate or construction.
• Proven ability to work with accounting software and advanced Excel.

• Proficiency in accounting software.

• Ability to generate financial reports and forecasts.
