Project Accountant

About the role

The Project Accountant supports the financial management of construction and real‑estate projects, working closely with project teams to ensure accurate cost recording and budget monitoring. This position is essential for maintaining financial integrity and enabling effective cost control throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Record actual expenditures and reconcile them against project budgets.
• Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and prepare timely variance reports.
• Collaborate with construction teams to forecast cash flow and update cost projections.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and cost reports for senior management.
• Assist in month‑end and year‑end closing activities related to project accounting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum six years of experience in project accounting, preferably within construction or real‑estate sectors.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of project budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
