About the role
The Project Coordinator (Master Trainer) will lead the delivery of the NYOTA Business Development Services (BDS) package for refugee and host‑community youth in Kakuma and Kalobeyei. Reporting to the Task Team Leader, the role ensures high‑quality, inclusive training and supports participants to build sustainable micro‑enterprises.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and quality‑assure the NYOTA BDS curriculum across assigned locations, ensuring consistent methodology, standards and schedules.
- Facilitate practical, participant‑centred BDS sessions, adapting case studies to local market realities and participants’ literacy and language needs.
- Deliver and reinforce core business skills such as financial literacy, record‑keeping, marketing, digital tools and entrepreneurship mindset.
- Lead or co‑facilitate Training of Trainers programmes, assess trainer readiness and provide coaching and structured feedback.
- Coordinate with mentors to ensure post‑training mentorship aligns with curriculum and participants’ business needs.
- Conduct routine quality assurance of training activities, materials, attendance and trainer deployment, and follow up on identified gaps.
- Collect and analyse participant and trainer feedback to recommend adaptations and improvements.
- Maintain accurate training records, attendance documentation and submit progress reports in line with NRC requirements.
- Promote safeguarding, protection, gender‑responsive and disability‑inclusive learning approaches.
- Collaborate with NRC teams, partners and stakeholders to support quality programme implementation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in entrepreneurship, business management, economics, development studies or related field.
- Minimum three years experience delivering business development services or entrepreneurship programmes, preferably in refugee settings.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili; knowledge of Arabic, French or other local languages is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working with youth and vulnerable populations, and delivering Training of Trainers.
- Understanding of gender‑responsive and disability‑inclusive programming.
- Strong facilitation, communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.
