Project Management Advisor – Health Cooperation Framework (Kenya)

About the role

The Health Cooperation Framework (HCF) Project Management Advisor will support Kenya's Ministry of Health in implementing a five‑year health partnership with the United States. Working within the Programme Management Unit, the Advisor provides independent analytical support, strategic advice, and technical counsel to ensure effective transition of U.S. health assistance into the Kenyan health system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide analytical and advisory inputs across all thematic arms of the HCF implementation.
• Support the Joint Health Cooperation Framework Steering Committee with evidence‑based recommendations.
• Monitor performance metrics, financial flows, and co‑investment tracking for the programme.
• Facilitate coordination between the Ministry of Health, its agencies, and U.S. government partners.
• Assist in preparing reports, policy briefs, and accountability documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in public‑health programme management, preferably in infectious‑disease or global‑health contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government ministries and international donors.
• Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills.
• Proven track record of delivering results in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
