Public Works Maintenance Worker I

This full‑time, non‑exempt position involves physically demanding tasks that keep public spaces safe, functional and attractive.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general infrastructure maintenance on streets, drainage systems and public facilities.
• Load, unload and transport gravel, dirt, timber, chemicals and other materials.
• Operate hand and power tools to repair buildings, grounds, utilities and related structures.
• Assist with construction, maintenance and repair projects as assigned by the project supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety regulations.

Required profile

• Ability to perform semi‑skilled manual work under moderate supervision.
• Physical capability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong commitment to public service.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for equipment operation.
