About the role
A leading resort in Athi River with over 70 executive villas is looking for a Purchasing Manager. The role manages and sources quality goods and services at the best value and keeps the resort well stocked.
Key responsibilities
- Source, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and maintain an approved supplier list.
- Process purchase requisitions and orders within approved budgets and authority limits.
- Receive goods, check quality and quantity, and reconcile with invoices.
- Coordinate with stores and departments to manage stock levels and avoid shortages and waste.
- Track prices, savings and supplier performance.
- Report on purchasing spend and stock to the General Manager.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business; CIPS/KISM is an advantage.
- 3+ years in purchasing, preferably in hospitality.
- Strong negotiation, numeracy and record-keeping skills; high integrity.
What we offer
- Basic salary of Kshs 50,000 gross per month.
- Housing and food provided.
- 3-month probationary period, followed by 2-year renewable contracts subject to satisfactory performance.
