Quality Assurance Engineer – Product Quality

About the role

The Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure product quality for vehicles, engines, and mechanical/electrical components across 2‑wheel, 3‑wheel and 4‑wheel segments. The role involves testing, simulating customer complaints, and linking field feedback to laboratory validation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute testing of vehicles, engines, subsystems and parts in dedicated labs.
• Simulate customer warranty complaints and TGW issues based on African market requirements.
• Visit African markets periodically to capture pain points and correlate them with lab results.
• Create PQM incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and apply QC‑Story problem‑solving methods.
• Develop new simulation cycles and update test standards to reflect evolving use cases.
• Monitor daily 5S, safety, rig utilisation and maintain test rigs and equipment.

Required profile

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in vehicle, engine or mechanical labs (vehicle dynamics, engine, or mechanical testing labs).
• Background in 2W/3W/4W OEM or Tier‑1 MNC environments, preferably in R&D or QA functions.

• Data loggers and instrumentation for 2W/3W vehicle usage capture.
• EMS calibration.
• HILL testing.
• 5S and safety monitoring.
• Rig utilisation and maintenance.
