RFID Operator

About the role

The RFID Operator works on‑site in Nairobi, handling the full production cycle of RFID‑enabled tags and labels. This full‑time position involves operating, monitoring and maintaining RFID printing, encoding and verification equipment to meet customer quality and delivery requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor RFID printing, encoding and verification machines, ensuring correct setup and configuration for each job.
• Prepare production runs by loading materials, configuring job parameters and verifying that tags and labels are correctly encoded.
• Inspect printed output for quality, perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on equipment.
• Accurately record production data, follow safety and security protocols, and support inventory management of RFID materials.
• Coordinate with supervisors, production, quality and logistics teams to prioritize tasks and meet delivery timelines.

Required profile

• Ability to operate and monitor RFID or similar production machinery, including basic setup and troubleshooting.
• Basic understanding of RFID technology, barcoding or data‑encoding processes and related software interfaces.
• Strong attention to detail for quality checks, data entry and documentation.
• Dependable time‑management skills, able to follow schedules and meet production deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with supervisors and production staff.
• Commitment to workplace safety and proper handling of equipment and materials.
• Comfort using computers and basic office or production software; willingness to learn new tools.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, printing or a similar environment is an advantage; vocational training in a technical field is preferred.
