Quality Control Specialist – Microbiology

About the role

As a Quality Control Specialist in Microbiology you will ensure that production and testing activities meet cGxP, data integrity and eCompliance standards. You will support investigations, approve documentation and contribute to audits, playing a key part in maintaining product quality and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee production and testing activities to guarantee full compliance with cGxP, data integrity and eCompliance requirements.
• Support investigations related to deviations, exceptions and quality events.
• Review and approve production, quality control and AS&T documentation.
• Perform batch record reviews and approve quality control data, including batch release data.
• Report technical complaints, adverse events and special quality cases within required timelines.
• Contribute to audits and inspections within the quality control area.
• Assess deviations, out‑of‑specification results, corrective actions and change requests.
• Support operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives across QC processes.

Required profile

• Experience in quality control or analytical science & technology within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work in a structured, independent manner while collaborating effectively across teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with laboratory instruments, devices and digital data systems.
