Quality Officer – Engineering & Manufacturing

About the role

The Quality Officer ensures that all engineering, fabrication, installation and maintenance activities meet approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and company requirements within a ceramics manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of engineering, fabrication, installation and maintenance works.
• Review and interpret CAD/AutoCAD drawings to verify conformity with approved designs.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of machinery, fabricated components and engineering works.
• Identify, document and follow up on defects and non‑conformities.
• Prepare inspection reports, checklists and Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Inspect engineering materials, components and spare parts against approved specifications.
• Ensure the latest approved drawings and specifications are used during works.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, contractors and other departments to resolve quality issues.
• Support root‑cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain accurate quality records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Production/Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics or a related engineering field.
• 2–4 years of experience in quality control, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication or a related environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/CAD software.
• Good proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of quality inspection procedures and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capability to work independently and effectively with cross‑functional teams.
