About the role

The Ranch Director will spearhead the strategic and operational transformation of a 20,000-head cattle operation, shifting from extensive grazing to a disciplined paddock‑based system while driving improvements in breeding, health, and data‑driven management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transition from open‑range grazing to structured paddock rotations, including infrastructure upgrades and movement planning.
• Implement rigorous protocols to meet elite industry targets for neonatal survival, calving percentages, weaning weights, and body‑condition scores.
• Standardize veterinary and bio‑security procedures, ensuring compliance with vaccination, dipping, and culling schedules.
• Convert field data into executive‑level reports and oversee the rollout of a Ranching ERP for accurate data capture and analytics.
• Manage procurement, stocking, and distribution of feed, supplements, veterinary medicines, and other critical inputs.
• Supervise the safe and efficient operation of the ranch fleet, tractors, and processing equipment, maintaining high asset uptime.

Required profile

• Proven experience in large‑scale livestock or agricultural operations management.
• Strong understanding of animal health, reproductive performance, and bio‑security best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex logistical and asset‑management initiatives.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on data accuracy and reporting.
