RBF, Clean Energy & Clean Cooking Expert

About the role

Allied Talent Partners (ATP) is seeking senior experts to design and implement results‑based financing (RBF) facilities that expand renewable‑energy, energy‑access and clean‑cooking solutions across Africa. The role supports funders, governments and development partners in creating high‑impact programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, structure and launch RBF facilities for renewable‑energy, energy‑access and clean‑cooking programmes.
• Develop eligibility criteria, application processes, evaluation frameworks and implementation manuals.
• Lead technical and financial due‑diligence, contracting and onboarding of participating companies.
• Manage portfolios of clean‑energy enterprises, monitor performance, track milestones and mitigate risks.
• Design verification processes, coordinate with independent verification agents and validate reported results.
• Develop programme indicators, reporting systems and learning frameworks.
• Support clean‑cooking market development, behaviour‑change initiatives and private‑sector participation.
• Advise on energy‑access policies, regulations and market‑enabling interventions.
• Coordinate stakeholders across government, development‑finance institutions, donors and private sector.
• Produce programme reports, portfolio insights and recommendations for implementation and investment decisions.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in results‑based financing, renewable energy, clean cooking or energy‑access programmes.
• Proven track record on donor‑funded or development‑finance projects.
• Experience delivering assignments in Kenya, East Africa or other African markets.
• Experience working with government institutions, development partners and private‑sector energy companies.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of RBF programme design and implementation.
• Experience with clean‑cooking technologies, off‑grid energy and distributed renewable energy solutions.
• Technical and financial evaluation expertise.
• Portfolio management and performance monitoring.
• Verification process design and stakeholder coordination.
