Reconciliation Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Reconciliation Specialist to join our Commercial Strategy team. You will own end‑to‑end financial reconciliation for a global merchant portfolio, monitor processing metrics and support executive decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Perform full‑cycle reconciliation of invoices, settlements, payouts and bank movements across US, EU and LATAM merchants.
• Reconcile chargeback‑related costs and credits, track payment plans and flag overdue or overpaid amounts.
• Run monthly close activities, produce exception logs, aging reports and obtain sign‑off.
• Act as business controller for payments, monitor costs, refunds and chargebacks, analyze variances and flag margin risks.
• Prepare concise reports for leadership on financial exposure, recoveries and open issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• 5+ years experience in reconciliation, financial control or business controlling, preferably in payments, fintech or e‑commerce.
• Strong understanding of card‑payments ecosystem, multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
• Rigorous, detail‑oriented mindset with strong ownership and autonomous work style.
• Excellent communication in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets for large, messy datasets.
• Experience with BI tools, especially Power BI.
• Familiarity with Visa/Mastercard dispute programs (VAMP, RDR, Ethoca, Verifi).
