Recruitment Lead – Fintech Payments – Remote (Kenya)

About the role

As Recruitment Lead for a fintech payments company, you will own and drive the talent acquisition strategy across the Nigerian market and broader African operations. You will partner with functional leaders, hiring managers and People Partners to attract top‑tier talent while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for multiple departments and seniority levels, building a large pipeline of bar‑raising talent.
• Collaborate with leadership to forecast hiring needs, develop workforce planning and talent‑acquisition strategies aligned with company goals.
• Maintain and grow talent pipelines through sourcing, networking, employer branding and participation in job fairs.
• Track recruitment metrics, produce regular reports and insights for senior leadership.
• Manage relationships with external agencies, recruitment platforms and ATS tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in HR/recruitment within fast‑growing tech start‑ups or scale‑ups.
• Proven ability to recruit niche or hard‑to‑find talent in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Data‑driven decision‑making mindset and passion for building relationships.

Required skills

• Advanced sourcing using LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
• Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems, preferably Teamtailor.
