Regional Accounts Manager

About the role

The Regional Accounts Manager will lead finance and accounting operations across the Nyanza, Western and Rift Valley regions, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls and regulatory compliance. This position reports to the Manager Field Operations, Accounts & Finance and works closely with the Country Office.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise accountants across regions, areas and branches, ensuring consistency with organisational standards.
• Investigate and resolve irregularities escalated by Area Accounts Managers.
• Conduct surprise compliance checks during branch visits.
• Review all financial transactions and bank reconciliations for accuracy and control adherence.
• Participate in the Regional Procurement Committee and liaise with the Country Office on policy implementation.
• Plan risk‑based branch visits and report incidents to senior management.
• Mentor and develop finance team members, supporting onboarding and training.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising business units, preferably in financial services.
• Strong organisational, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.
• High integrity, professionalism and commitment to safeguarding policies.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory, safety and compliance requirements.
