Regional Ethics and Integrity Officer (Professional)

About the role
The Regional Ethics and Integrity Officer will support IOM’s Office of Ethics and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment in Nairobi, providing policy guidance, training and advisory services to promote a culture of integrity across the organization’s regional operations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide impartial advice on ethical issues, conflicts of interest and conduct standards to staff and management.
- Develop, deliver and coordinate training and outreach programmes on ethics, integrity and anti‑retaliation measures.
- Support the implementation of IOM’s speak‑up mechanisms and ensure protection for personnel who raise concerns.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of annual conflict‑of‑interest disclosures and related reporting.
- Collaborate with the Ethics and Conduct Unit and other units to strengthen policies and promote transparency.
Required profile
- Advanced university degree in law, public administration, international relations or a related field.
- Relevant professional experience in ethics, compliance, governance or integrity within an international or multilateral organization.
- Demonstrated knowledge of UN or UN‑related standards of conduct and anti‑harassment frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
