Regional Supply Chain Management Specialist

About the role

This position reports directly to the Regional Supply Chain Management (SCM) Director and provides overall support to oversee and manage all aspects of supply chain management at the Regional Office and Field Office level in the East Africa Region.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Regional SCM Director in organizing, leading, and facilitating SCM assessment and implementation programmes across Field Offices.
• Assist and advise Field Offices in sourcing goods, works, and services while ensuring value for money.
• Drive SCM KPIs delivery, including purchasing efficiency and benefits reporting.
• Conduct procurement documentation quality reviews and support development of regional and Field Office sourcing strategies.
• Provide technical expertise in emergency and fragile contexts to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
• Lead strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier‑relationship management to eliminate waste and improve processes.
• Facilitate capacity building for Field Office SCM teams, including training on procurement policies, processes, and the ProVision system.
• Develop and implement annual regional sourcing plans, leveraging economies of scale and market intelligence.
