Registered Nurse – Direct Patient Care

About the role

The role involves providing direct patient care, conducting thorough patient assessments, supporting emergency care, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitor vital signs.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and document findings.
• Support emergency care situations and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other staff to coordinate care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Health Management Information Systems.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized institution.
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya and a valid practising licence.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Minimum of one year clinical internship experience.
• Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
