Registered Nurse

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Homa Bay County, Kenya. The Registered Nurse will deliver direct patient care in home and community settings, using digital tools to document and coordinate care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions for patients receiving home‑based care.
• Administer medications, monitor treatment outcomes and vital signs.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists and other health professionals to ensure integrated care.
• Use digital applications to record care, schedule visits and communicate with the care team.
• Follow clinical guidelines, infection‑prevention protocols and patient‑safety standards.
• Participate in outreach programs, support continuity of care and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Current registration and licensure as a Registered Nurse with the Kenyan nursing council.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; additional training in community health is a plus.
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail and ability to work independently in community settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
• Experience using mobile or web‑based health applications for documentation and scheduling.
