About the role
Prime HR Solutions Ltd is recruiting a Registered Quantity Surveyor (BORAQS) for a full-time, on-site position in Nairobi. The role covers all cost-related aspects of construction projects, working closely with project managers, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
- Conduct cost estimates and monitor project budgets from inception to completion
- Evaluate tenders and advise on procurement strategies
- Assess variations and prepare interim and final payment certificates
- Provide regular cost reports, support risk assessments and contribute to project planning and decisions
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field
- Registered Quantity Surveyor with BORAQS, with knowledge of local construction regulations and standards
- Experience in cost planning, cost reporting and forecasting
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision
Required skills
- BOQ preparation, measurement and take-offs
- Cost control and budget tracking
- Quantity surveying and project management software
- Strong MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
