Regulatory Policy & Compliance Analyst – 1 Year Renewable

About the role

Our client, a leading multinational financial services organization operating across Africa, is looking for a Regulatory Policy & Compliance Analyst on a one‑year renewable contract. The role will support policy development, ensure regulatory compliance, and engage with authorities across multiple African markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and oversee a Compliance Management Programme for several African jurisdictions.
• Monitor compliance with laws, regulations, licence conditions and internal frameworks.
• Develop processes to verify product and service compliance before market launch.
• Assist business units in obtaining and maintaining licences, approvals and regulatory authorisations.
• Track regulatory developments, prepare impact assessments and coordinate responses to legislative changes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create regulatory engagement strategies.
• Work with internal audit and business teams to strengthen governance practices.
• Support engagements with regulatory authorities and recommend corrective actions where gaps are identified.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Finance or a related field (Master’s/MBA advantageous).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in telecommunications, financial services, fintech, banking or a similarly regulated industry.
• Strong knowledge of African financial services regulatory frameworks and licensing requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
