Relationship Executive – Life Business

About the role

The Relationship Executive supports Old Mutual’s corporate client retention strategy by managing day‑to‑day interactions with assigned schemes, intermediaries, and HR contacts. You will ensure a superior client experience through proactive engagement, timely issue resolution, and clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Manage routine scheme interactions, address client needs and meet service expectations.
• Coordinate with internal teams (claims, underwriting, servicing) to resolve scheme‑specific queries and escalations.
• Prepare client performance reviews, renewal packs and post‑meeting documentation.
• Utilise CRM, policy administration and digital engagement platforms to drive retention initiatives.
• Participate in scheme onboarding, handover and early relationship strengthening.
• Monitor scheme experience, conduct outreach when performance indicates retention risk.
• Support retention events such as wellness days, scheme education and training forums.
• Ensure all client interactions comply with internal policies, AML guidelines and the Data Protection Act.
• Promote digital self‑service solutions and provide insights on customer behaviour and emerging risks.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in client relationship management, corporate servicing or insurance operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing or a related business field.
• Professional insurance qualification (e.g., AIIK, ACII, LOMA) is preferred.
• Experience with group insurance products or employee benefit solutions is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using policy administration platforms.
• Familiarity with digital engagement tools.
• Knowledge of Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) compliance.
• Understanding of Data Protection Act (DPA) requirements.
