Remote Biology AI Native Solo Developer

About the role

We are looking for a remote, solo developer who will build AI‑driven analysis tools for biology and life‑science research. The role combines software engineering with deep domain knowledge in digital pathology, genomics, flow cytometry and molecular analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Process and analyse microscopy images for digital pathology applications.
• Design and implement workflows for genomics, single‑cell, gene‑expression and variant analysis.
• Develop analysis functions for flow cytometry, spectral flow cytometry, cell‑cycle, viability and cell‑population studies.
• Create molecular‑structure analysis modules, including protein, macromolecule and interaction modelling.
• Build mass‑spectrometry pipelines for proteomics, metabolomics, peak detection, identification and quantification.
• Develop and optimise web‑based integrated life‑science analysis platforms.
• Research and prototype new algorithms using machine learning, deep learning and generative AI.
• Collaborate with internal and external researchers, physicians and engineers to refine workflows, visualisations and report generation.

Required profile

• Professional background as a bioscientist with research experience in life science, medicine, biology, pharmacy, pathology, molecular biology or bioinformatics.
• Expertise in at least one area such as image analysis, genomics, flow cytometry, molecular‑structure analysis or mass spectrometry.
• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on experience in computer science, image processing or data analysis.
• Proven experience developing life‑science analysis software or research‑support systems.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Programming with React, Python and C++.
• Advanced knowledge of OpenStack.
• Practical experience with machine learning, deep learning and generative AI techniques.
