Rental Technician / Truck Driver

About the role

Precision Well Servicing is seeking a Rental Technician / Truck Driver to work at its Cold Lake, Nisku or Lloydminster facilities. The role combines equipment rental responsibilities with Class 1 truck driving, supporting the company’s oil‑and‑gas service rig operations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive returned rental equipment, inspect for missing or damaged parts and document findings.
• Process customer orders, complete contracts, quotations and shipping paperwork.
• Operate Class 1, Class 3 and light‑duty vehicles safely, performing pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections.
• Secure loads within weight limits and ensure balanced loading according to DOT/NSC regulations.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and safe operating condition; perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
• Transport equipment between stations, adhering to company policies and transport laws.
• Report incidents promptly and assist with shop and yard tasks such as mechanical support, equipment organization and cleaning.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with a strong commitment to safety.
• Valid Class 1 Driver’s License (preferred) and ability to provide a 5‑year commercial driver abstract.
• Knowledge of DOT and NSC regulatory requirements, including load balancing and weight restrictions.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing and a 50 lb physical‑demand test.
• Self‑starter capable of working with minimal supervision and performing repetitive motions such as standing and kneeling.
