Resort Manager – Timau, Meru (80K)

About the role

The newly established high‑end resort in Timau, Meru is seeking a Resort Manager to oversee daily operations, drive sales and maintain guest service standards. The role is full‑time, on‑site and reports directly to the resort directors.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all resort areas are clean, tidy and meet high service standards.
• Lead sales and marketing initiatives, develop growth strategies and monitor revenue performance.
• Supervise and schedule staff across front office, housekeeping, food & beverage and security.
• Oversee procurement, vendor performance and inventory control.
• Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments and enforce health‑safety procedures.
• Handle guest relations, resolve issues promptly and ensure a personalized experience.
• Prepare occupancy and revenue forecasts and manage expense control.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality, Sales & Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum three years of progressive managerial experience in a hotel or resort environment.
• Proven track record in business development, client acquisition and retention.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 lbs.

Required skills

• Basic hotel accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency with scheduling and workforce management software.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite.
