About the role
The Association of Media Women in Kenya (AMWIK) is seeking a Resource Mobilization Officer to help secure funding and build partnerships that sustain its mission of empowering women in media. This is a full‑time position requiring 2‑3 days per week on site at the Westlands office.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and map new funding opportunities, corporate partnerships, and grant calls aligned with AMWIK’s strategic pillars.
- Assist in drafting grant narratives, concept notes, and expressions of interest.
- Support donor database maintenance and track reporting timelines.
- Contribute ideas during internal brainstorming sessions on innovative resource‑mobilization strategies.
Required profile
- Background in communications, project management, development studies or related fields.
- Strong research, analytical and writing abilities.
- Experience or knowledge of finance and development sectors is an advantage.
- Collaborative spirit with ability to meet tight deadlines.
