Restaurant Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Restaurant Accountant to join our finance team in Westlands, Nairobi. The role focuses on managing the financial health of our restaurant operations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with statutory obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping, budgeting and cash‑flow management for the restaurant.
• Prepare and file statutory returns such as VAT, PAYE, NSSF, NHI and SHIF.
• Produce monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Reconcile inventory, stock and cost of sales, supporting cost control initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data flow.

Required profile

• CPA (K) qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum three (3) years of accounting experience, preferably in restaurant, hospitality or FMCG sectors.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of accuracy, integrity and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
