About the role

We are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading restaurant chain in Nairobi, for a Restaurant Supervisor (Shift Leader). The role involves supervising restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth workflow, excellent customer service, and proper staff coordination in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise restaurant staff during assigned shifts.
• Ensure smooth daily restaurant operations and service delivery.
• Monitor staff attendance, grooming, and performance.
• Support customer service and resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and operational standards.
• Coordinate food service and communication between departments.
• Assist in stock monitoring and operational reporting.
• Support implementation of company procedures and service standards.
• Train and guide junior staff where necessary.

Required profile

• Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar supervisory role within a busy restaurant.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage shift operations effectively.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
