Retail Sales Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a warm, knowledgeable, and commercially‑minded Retail Sales Assistant to represent the A.Living collection across our Rhapta Road and Village Market stores. You will rotate between the two locations, ensuring consistent presentation, product knowledge, and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Engage customers, understand their needs and guide them to the right products while meeting individual sales targets.
• Tell compelling product stories that connect maker background, production method, materials and use.
• Maintain deep knowledge of every item, including brand story, maker notes, care instructions and pricing.
• Uphold visual standards, keep displays full, organized and visually appealing, and ensure all in‑store communication is accurate.
• Collect and share customer feedback to inform buying and product development.
• Monitor stock levels daily, flag low SKUs, support stock takes, receiving and accurate placement of new inventory.

Required profile

• Genuine interest in handmade, locally produced goods and their stories.
• Natural communicator who can connect with a wide range of customers without being pushy.
• Detail‑oriented and commercially aware, understanding how experience translates into sales.
• Comfortable working across two locations and adapting to each branch’s rhythm.
