Risk and Compliance Manager – Partnerships & Digital

About the role

The Risk and Compliance Manager will lead second‑line oversight for Britam Connect’s partnerships and digital channels, ensuring that strategic, operational, conduct and regulatory risks are identified, assessed and managed within the Group’s risk appetite.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent risk and compliance oversight, challenge and advisory support to senior management.
• Monitor and mitigate strategic, operational, financial and emerging risks through effective controls.
• Oversee regulatory compliance, including AML/CFT, sanctions, FATCA, CRS, data protection and Treating Customers Fairly obligations.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, thematic reviews and supervisory engagements.
• Support decision‑making with forward‑looking risk insight, scenario analysis and risk‑aware recommendations.
• Promote a strong risk and compliance culture and build capability across the business.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, Economics or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5‑10 years of experience in risk management, compliance, innovation governance or digital financial services.
• Strong understanding of insurance operations, underwriting, claims, reinsurance and pricing.
• Proven ability to perform scenario analysis and assess emerging technology and partnership risks.
