Sales Account Manager

About the role

Kempinski Hotels is hiring a Sales Account Manager in Nairobi (Westlands) for a full-time position. The role manages key accounts on a defined account base or geographic area, drives revenue and market share against competitors, and supports the Director of Sales / Director of Sales & Marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Manage key accounts and prospect new ones, maximizing revenue and achieving personal targets
• Conduct site inspections and follow up tentative bookings in the assigned markets
• Maintain detailed knowledge of competitors and of the hotel's services and facts and figures
• Ensure timely contracting and use SMART contracting to optimize yields in annual rate negotiations
• Attend trade shows, sales blitzes and workshops in the assigned markets
• Help define the annual sales action plan and assist in preparing the annual budget with production statistics and forecasts
• Execute sales actions within the set cost budget and update the OPERA contact database regularly
• Cross-sell other Kempinski hotels and follow the company sales vision
• Adhere to corporate procedures, the employee handbook and fire, hygiene, health and safety policies

Required profile

• Kenyan citizen
• University degree or diploma in a business-related field
• At least two years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a 4/5 star hotel
• Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment

Required skills

• Computer literacy adapted to the field of sales
• Knowledge of the OPERA contact database
