Sales and Collections Intern (On‑site, Nyeri)

About the role

Tenakata, a licensed Digital Credit Provider in Kenya, is looking for a motivated Sales and Collections Intern to support its branch operations in Nyeri. You will work closely with Business Development and Collections Officers, helping the team meet sales targets while gaining hands‑on experience in the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
• Generate sales leads, make cold calls, and support client acquisition efforts.
• Assist in preparing and delivering first‑rate customer service.
• Support accurate and timely reporting of management information and market feedback.
• Contact debtors, follow up on defaulters, and help recover payments.
• Educate customers on financial products and maintain ongoing relationships.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree with a focus on Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to work with standard office software.
• Good communication skills and a deadline‑driven attitude.
• Previous experience in a sales or financial environment is an advantage, but not mandatory.
