Sales Executive - Construction Materials

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Sales Executive for construction materials, based in Mombasa Road. The role covers generating new business, managing customer relationships and reporting on sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities with contractors, developers, hardware shops and construction companies, and promote the company's products through visits, calls and networking.
• Generate leads, prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms and close sales to meet monthly and quarterly targets.
• Maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers, follow up on their requirements and upcoming projects, and handle complaints.
• Build knowledge of construction materials, building products, hardware, tiles and sanitary ware, and gather market intelligence on competitors.
• Prepare quotations and sales orders, keep the sales pipeline and customer database updated, and report on revenue, pipeline and target progress.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, logistics and finance teams on availability, deliveries and payments.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience selling construction materials, building products, hardware, tiles or sanitary ware.
• Ability to achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets and to generate leads, negotiate and close sales.
• Knowledge of the construction and building materials market, including customer segments and purchasing processes.
• Experience with contractors, developers, hardware retailers or construction companies is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales reporting tools.
• CRM experience is desirable.
