Sales Manager - Life Insurance

About the role

Jubilee Life Insurance Limited is recruiting Sales Managers in Nairobi, Mombasa, Thika, Nyeri, Meru, Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and Kisii. The role holder reports to the Head of Agency and is supported to build a viable Unit in each branch so as to expand Jubilee Life's market share in Kenya. The person supervises and coordinates all aspects of the Unit sales workstream, developing strategies to grow Unit sales productivity, headcount, training, recruitment and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve the Unit's new business sales budget in terms of number of policies and annualised premium.
• Meet the Unit's business retention and persistency ratios.
• Sourcing, coordinating recruitment and training of a team of Financial Advisors to meet the Unit's resource complement.
• Ensure the Financial Advisors meet their targets for new business production and persistency ratios.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders so the sales team can access markets and present to corporate entities, check-off institutions and camping sites.
• Supervise, motivate and support the Financial Advisors, setting and regularly reviewing their KPIs.
• Promote the organisation, its products and services to new and current clients and position the brand in the region.

Required profile

• Age of 25 years or older.
• Degree or diploma with minimum grade C- (minus) in KCSE.
• Diploma or certificate in Insurance Certification (COP).
• Current registration with the Insurance Regulator of Kenya (IRA).
• At least 1 year of sales management experience, or 2 years as a successful sales agent.
• Certification in sales management and IT skills are an added advantage.
