Sales & Marketing Intern

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Sales & Marketing Intern in Ruai, Kenya, within the medical equipment and laboratory supplies industry. The role covers lead generation, customer engagement, marketing support and sales administration.

Key responsibilities

• Sales and business development: generate new leads across hospitals, laboratories, clinics and research institutions, follow up on leads, quotations and prospects, and help achieve monthly sales targets.
• Customer engagement: build relationships with existing and prospective customers, understand their needs and recommend suitable products, and follow up regularly to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Marketing and lead generation: support digital and field marketing such as social media, product promotions and networking, conduct market research, and help organise product demonstrations, exhibitions and client visits.
• Product and technical sales support: learn the medical, laboratory and scientific equipment portfolio, assist with product presentations and explain features, applications and benefits.
• Sales administration and reporting: keep accurate records of leads, quotations and opportunities, prepare regular sales reports, and coordinate customer orders with internal teams.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management or a related field.
• Strong interest in sales, customer engagement and business development.
• Excellent communication, networking, negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Proactive, confident and comfortable approaching new customers, with good organisational and follow-up skills.
• Target-driven and willing to learn about medical, laboratory and scientific equipment.

Required skills

• Basic computer and digital marketing skills are an added advantage.
