Sales Merchandiser - Hair Care Products

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Sales Merchandiser in Kisumu for its personal care and hair care products business. The role covers product display, sales support and stock monitoring across assigned retail outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Display hair products properly, arrange them well, keep them adequately stocked and highly visible, and follow merchandising guidelines, planograms, promotional displays and point-of-sale materials.
• Check product placement, pricing, labelling and shelf presentation regularly, and report opportunities to improve visibility and sales.
• Drive sales of assigned products, engage customers and retail staff, and support promotions, product launches, demonstrations and in-store campaigns.
• Monitor stock levels, report shortages, slow-moving items, damage and expiry issues, and help rotate stock to avoid out-of-stocks.
• Maintain records of outlet visits, stock levels, sales activity and merchandising performance, and submit regular reports on outlet performance, market activity and competitor movements.
• Build good relationships with outlet managers and retail staff, coordinate with the sales team, and implement agreed merchandising standards.

Required profile

• Certificate in Sales, Marketing or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in merchandising, sales, FMCG, cosmetics, beauty, hair products or a related industry.
• Previous experience with retail outlets is highly desirable; experience in the beauty or hair-care industry is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Understanding of product merchandising and stock management.
• Basic sales techniques.
