Sales Representative – Agricultural Products, Kisumu

About the role

A reputable company in the agricultural sector, represented by Summit Recruitment & Search, is looking for a motivated, results-driven Sales Representative for its team in the Nyanza region, based in Kisumu. The role covers driving sales, supporting distributor operations, managing customer relationships and increasing product visibility across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Drive product demand and pull-through from assigned distributors by engaging agrovets, stockists and farmers.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the Sales Manager.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, providing product education and basic after-sales support.
• Monitor distributor stock levels to ensure optimal stock movement and avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
• Support payment collections from credit customers and flag payment delays or risks to the Sales Manager.
• Gather and report market intelligence on customer preferences, competitor activity and market trends.
• Execute promotional campaigns and activations, and represent the company at field days, exhibitions and distributor-led events.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Agribusiness or a related field.
• At least 4 years of field sales experience, preferably in agriculture, animal health or FMCG.
• Familiarity with the Nyanza region and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
• Self-starter able to work independently and meet targets with minimal supervision.
