Sales Representative – Modern Trade (Nairobi & Kenya)

About the role

The company is looking for energetic Sales Representatives to drive profitable growth across modern‑trade outlets in Nairobi, Mt Kenya, Kisii and Kakamega. You will be responsible for servicing existing stores, acquiring new customers, ensuring product availability and supporting timely payment collection.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute outlet visits within the assigned territory, maintaining the required frequency and efficient field time.
• Generate sales by presenting products, promotions and commercial offers, obtaining accurate orders and following up on incomplete or unfulfilled requests.
• Develop relationships with store managers, buyers and purchasing staff to increase product range, order value and outlet penetration.
• Identify and prospect new modern‑trade customers, presenting the company’s portfolio and commercial proposition.
• Report route, access or customer issues that could affect performance and coordinate with the Sales Supervisor for resolution.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with up to 2 years of sales experience (as indicated by the 24‑month experience requirement).
• Willingness to travel across the assigned territories and manage a regular field schedule.
• Strong communication skills for presenting products and negotiating with store decision‑makers.
